Ingos Baby Boy

As you all know Ingo and his fiancee Ehiku welcomed a baby boy recently. If you would like to send them a card of congratulations please send them in care of General Hospital. Here is an article from People magazine about the birth.

Move over Apple, there's a new foodie baby name in town! Last week, General Hospital star Ingo Rademacher and his fiancée, Ehiku, welcomed their son Peanut Kai.

"We were calling him that when he was in mommy," Rademacher told PEOPLE about the unusual name, which was first reported by Soap Opera Digest. "It kind of represented joy and happiness to us. It puts a smile on everyone's face."

That explains the Peanut part of the name. As for "Kai," it's Hawaiian for "water," according to Rademacher. Baby Peanut is one quarter Hawaiian on his mother's side. The couple plans to marry in Hawaii next year.

Rademacher, who plays Jax on the popular ABC soap, delivered the baby during a home birth in Malibu on July 11. "We were set on home birth right away," he said. "A hospital was not a place we wanted to be." A midwife was also present at the birth

Heal the Bay Dinner Recap

Wow what a great and wonderful night it was!!!!!!!

The event was completely sold out at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica!!!! It was huge and beautiful inside!!!!!!!

The sun was shining but it was not too hot which made for a wonderful outside evening cocktail hour!!!!! When u first entered the area they had a wonderful cocktail reception that started at 5pm where everyone was milling about having fun and enjoying canapes and a variety of cocktails. Hors d'erves and cocktails are always my favorite part of any Hollywood evening I go to as you get the opportunity to walk about and not just sit. It took me about 5 seconds to look over the tops of everyone and see Ingo and Ehiku standing over by the silent auction tables which snaked their way through half of the big open space. Wow did they raise a lot of money for the charity with these silent auction items!!

Christmas Greetings

Hi All,

Hope I didn't scare too many of you with my political statements ;-) I am currently in Tahiti for 2 weeks relaxing and having a wonderful time before returning to Los Angeles for X mas. I went on my first real shark dive yesterday surrounded by 30 reef sharks and one 8 ft Lemon shark, it was pretty exciting. Tahiti is amazing. Im hoping to get some snow time and cross country skiing in, between xmas and new years and then returning to my place in Hawaii for 10 days or so before joining the show and an exciting story with Laura around the 14th of January. Happy Holidays to you all. Happy new year and thanks for your continuing support.

Ingo diving in Tahiti

best wishes

Message from Ingo

Dear All,

Never in the past have I expressed my opinion on politics to my friends, mostly because no presidential candidate has ever stood out or excited me in past elections. Also an election has never before been so very important. I have been following the debates intensely on television and on the Internet as well as having discussions with my peers, friends and family (like we all should be doing right about now). America is in big trouble and I think we all know it, but don't really want to believe it. I don't need to go into all those unfortunate details but as an example from my past travels, it was always a nice feeling to know my American dollars were worth something. In 1998, I was in Germany visiting family and everything was about half price. 50 cents US bought 1 Euro. Now we pay almost triple, $1.50 to get 1 Euro. The same thing has happened with the Australian dollar. Our Superpower American dollars are quite worthless! Yes, it’s quite shocking isn't it? As most of you know, I’m environmentally conscious and you would expect me to be supporting a "green party” candidate all the way. I have always considered myself to be open minded and flexible. I don't think we should vote for a certain Party like it's your favorite Football team and stick with that.

We have to look at the merit of the individual person running for office. That is why, to my surprise, I now strongly support a REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE, RON PAUL for PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I know that the majority of us are quite pissed off at the Republicans for everything that has happened, but that's the Bush Administration and their time is almost up. A lot of you might already be Ron Paul supporters. Polls have shown he has many. He has raised almost 12 million dollars so far. That’s as much as any other candidate and he has a real shot at getting the Republican nomination. If you’re not yet familiar with Ron Paul, please take a moment to check him out at ronpaul2008.com.

Don't hesitate because we don't have much time. He seems to me like a truthful person with intelligence, dignity and class and I believe he is the ONLY presidential candidate who can get America back on track. I feel very strongly about this. If I can be flexible enough to change from Green to Republican, maybe some of you can consider switching to Ron Paul also.

This is a very important election if not the most important election in history. I want our kids to have a future in this country with real freedom, a future where we don’t give up more liberty and live each day with more and more fear. There is a saying I've always loved, "We don't inherit the earth from our parents, we borrow it from our children". We need a REVOLUTION! We need drastic changes to secure our future and our children’s futures and the future of this planet.

I unfortunately cannot vote, so I'm doing all I can by donating money to Ron Pauls’ campaign and sharing my views with all of you. I urge you all to please form your OWN opinion and give Ron Paul a fair listen. That's all I can ask of you. Form your own opinion and you might see what I see. Seek the Truth. See the Truth

Thank you all. And please make your most Generous Donation at RonPaul2008.com.

Sincerely

Ingo Rademacher

Ingo partying in Santa Monica

Did you hear about the Northeast Valley teen who was at the same party as Paris Hilton? Well it's true. Sixteen -year old Jessica Ornstein and her Valley chums mingled their way into a star studded party in Santa Monica, Calif. - elbow distance from the hotel heiress.

No they weren't invited. But Jessica's parents were throwing a beach party in their summer home right next door. So the teens easily snuck into the celebrity party.

Not so for the paparazzi - those on the ground at least. (Lots of helicopters hovered overhead.)

But Jonathan and Lisa Ornstein had tight security to get into their big bash.

Jonathan is chairman and CEO of Mesa Air Group, which will take off this fall in the People's Republic of China.

And they invited about 250 of their personal friends to celebrate Mesa Air Group's landmark business Chinese venture.

The Phoenix-based company will be the first U.S. air carrier to offer air service in China. It partnered with a Chinese company, Shenzhen Airlines, to establish a new domestic regional airline. The new service, Kunpeng Airlines, is named after a mythical bird revered in the Chinese culture.

"We wanted our guests at the party to feel the spirit of China," Jonathan said.

Michael Ferverda, the vice president in charge of the new venture, flew in from China to join the revelers, including a large group of movers and shakers from Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and the Arcadia area.

Lisa Ornstein and her party team turned their swanky abode into a Chinese experience with sets they rented from movie and TV studios. Food stations in their home and backyard (which stretches into the sand and coastline), served up gourmet Asian delights. Chinese acrobats performed.

The party favors included grapefruit-size fortune cookies. The fortune read "Confucius say when in China fly Kunpeng Airlines."

Guests donned in Chinese garb danced the night away. In fact, the wooden dance floor was built over the pool.

Northeast Valley guests included Dr. Jerry and Elizabeth Lucas, and Michele and Nir Czopp who own a diamond business and the stylish Scottsdale clothing boutique Mishka.

Other friends of the Ornsteins included Ingo Rademacher (Dr. Jax from General Hospital) and members of the King of Morocco's royal entourage. And Jerryd Bayless a recent graduate of St. Mary's in Phoenix, a top ranked point guard soon to play for University of Arizona.

By the way, Jessica Ornstein says she wasn't impressed by Paris Hilton and her entourage. "She smoked a lot," she said.

Honda Gold Wing: Motorcycle to the stars

For television actor Ingo Rademacher, the Gold Wing is the real star.

You could consider him the man who has everything: a long-running, successful Hollywood career as an actor, natural athleticism and, more to the point for these pages, a love of motorcycling. Ingo Rademacher first learned to ride while growing up on a farm in Australia and he's become a complete motorcyclist since, riding everything from a CRF®450X to a CBR®1000RR at local track days - and turning in some very creditable lap times.

Soap Opera Weekly
April 10, 2007

After a decade of GH's resident Casanova, Ingo Rademacher is eagerly settling into step daddy mode.

After a two-month vacation, half work and half play, IR returned to the GH fold in February refreshed and ready to tackle the trials and tribulations of millionaire Jasper Jacks. So far, it's been an interesting ride.

SOW: Where did you spend your break?
IR: I went to Europe and Hawaii. I took little trips to France and Italy and ended up in Germany, where I visited my cousins. Then, I went to Hawaii and did some work on my house. It's about 150 yards off the beach.

SOW: What kind of work did you do?
IR: Land work, because I've got lots of trees. I work on the garden, do the landscaping. I work on the house, also. I've renovated it bit by bit. There's always stuff to do.

SOW: You do it all yourself?
IR: Oh, yeah. When I'm there I do most of the work. Growing up on a farm in Australia helped me a lot. Also, doing woodwork and metal work in high school. The rest of it you just pick up from working on a farm. You pretty much have to learn how to do everything on a farm. [My family and I] built a lot of houses ourselves.

SOW: Do you go to Hawaii often?
IR: Every opportunity I get, I go over there. Even sometimes on long weekends, I'll skip over there.

GH's Ingo Rademacher (Jax) took girlfriend Ehiku and her niece Pakelakahiki for a magical day - including a meeting with Snow White - at Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim, Calif. "It was really cool," Rademacher says. "Pakela wanted to go to the Princess Lunch, so we organized that. All the princesses come around and say hello to the little girls and ask them questions about their favorite rides." Photo credit: Paul Hiffmeyer/Disneyland/JPI

Happy Anniversary, Ingo

I think GH has kinda stolen any minor ability I might ever have had to be deep or profound or witty or insightful. I just couldn't let the day go by without acknolwedging that it was exactly ELEVEN years ago today that Lois showed up in Jax' long-forgotten NY office and found him in his own personal carnival arcade shooting gallery. He actually had me from the first time he turned around. I liked him right away and have ever since.

So much crappy writing has passed under the bridge since then, but the one thing that is crystal clear to me is that Jax remains the single MOST isolated, stand-alone character on the show. After eleven years, he has no family to speak of, no children, almost no onscreen friendships, and a business that's about to be blown up--LITERALLY. Other characters suffer from neglect, to be sure, but Jax is the only one who has virtually no established "place" on the canvas. When holidays come around, the Q's have each other, the Scoobies have each other, Alexis has her girls and Nikolas, etc, but Jax is still treated like a VISITOR to Port Charles after more than a decade.

In the time since Jax came to town, Sonny has fathered countless children and been elevated to the status of "most powerful, puffed-up don on the Eastern Seaboard". In the time since Jax came to town, Jason has gone from dutiful, reindeer sweater-wearing Q good son to St. Jasus, the paid killer who ate Port Charles. Heck, in just three years or so, Lorenzo has been given a niece, a son, and now a daughter. Meanwhile, Jax?? *crickets*

It's never been about the fact that he continually has to "lose" women that makes Jax fans want to throw things. It's the fact that he is ALWAYS treated as LESS than ANY character in ANY story he's a part of. Does anyone really think Jax fans are so disillusioned with this farce of a "triangle" simply because Jax might not "win" the girl?? Heck, no! It's because they know that no matter HOW it plays out, his role will be clearly SUBORDINATE to whatever the writers given Sonny and Carly. Jax fans have begged for Jax to be given a life for all these years, yet everytime it feels like he might have a shot at one, it's snatched from him, and he's left with nothing again. It's like he's GH's own version of SISYPHUS--the Greek king condemned by the gods to roll a huge boulder up a mountain for all eternity and then having to watch it fall back to the bottom everytime he neared the top. That's what it feels like to watch Jax beat his head against a rock again and again and repeatedly be left with nothing.

I still love the guy, and that is ALL due to the way Ingo plays him. There's an openness and a sweetness in the way he plays Jax' heart that always keeps him rootable for ME, even when the writers openly dismiss, discount, disregard, disrespect...and any other "dis" words you could come up with. I think Jax has no choice but to continually dust himself off and "start all over again" or else he'd have been shoved into the "bitter, vengeful loser" category long ago. Ingo has singlehandedly kept Jax "viable" for many viewers when the writers couldn't be bothered.

For that, I will always be a fan.

If anyone has pics, clips, or memories they want to share, knock yourself out.

Ingo's going to be leaving Hawaii any day now to go back to work on GH. Please take a few minutes to send him a welcome back postcard at the studio, and please drop by the message board at http://www.ingorademacher.com/forums and post a message there also!

This week's hot news!

Would you like a virtual tour of Ingo's house and property in Hawaii? You can make it happen until November 30.

Soapnet's Soapnetic site has a 15 minute Flash virtual tour until November 30, so be sure to check it out! Go to http://www.soapnetic.com - Click on Original, click on Soap Talk in Paradise, and you can click on Ingo's picture to see it.

Looks like quite a spread!

There's been a slew of auctions from ABC Wardrobe lately benefitting the Mattel Children's Hospital, but today there's another one!

This Armani shirt was worn by Ingo on General Hospital .

This is the link to the auction!

This auction is for a classic designer Armani shirt worn by soap star Ingo Rademacher while portraying the sexy and dashing Jasper Jax ("Jax") on General Hospital. Buy this shirt for yourself while benefiting sick children. It's a win win. This auction for a designer light gray long sleeve colared shirt with cream and light blue stripes. It is an original Armani Collection shirt. It is a size 42 L with a 16 1/2" collar. It is made of 77% cotton with 13% polyester and was made in Italy. Written on the inside label of the shirt is "Jax" which was written in ink by the wardrobe people. Own a piece of soap memorabilia from General Hospital's uber hot Jax. This is being auctioned to benefit the Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA. Check out our other items being auctioned for charity!

The website for Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA is http://www.mattel.ucla.edu/. This charity drive has been organized by volunteers wanting to provide some entertainment for the sick kids housed at the hospital. These kids end up staying in this hospital for months on end because of the treatment they are receiving and the need for an absolutely clean environment. Many of the kids there have little or no economic support from their families so the only toys, games, and things to occupy them during this painful and stressful time are what people donate. Because of their condition, all donations have to come in their original pristine packaging from the factory or the hospital can't give the items to the kids for fear of compromising their immune systems. So digging through closets for donations just doesn't work here. That is the problem the hospital faces. They need the right kind of donations for these special kids - absolutely brand spanking new items in their original packaging unsullied by us! The kids we'd be buying for range in age from infancy to late teens. For some of these kids, our donations may be the only bright spot they will receive while in the hospital and possibly in their short lives. While all are there receiving treatments, the sad truth is that many of these kids won't make it. We just want to do what we can to make sure they have some quality of life. The items we purchase from the proceeds of this auction will be given to the individual kids to take with them when they hopefully leave.

Tales from the Interview
Kristin Gallagher, SOD Insider
Okay, so I'm late. Not five minutes, not even 15. Thanks to that proverbial L.A. traffic, at this point in time, I'm the White Rabbit from Alice In Wonderland late, late for a very important date. Because at the GENERAL HOSPITAL set, waiting for me to interview him is none other than Ingo Rademacher (Jax), who has already finished his scenes and undoubtedly wants to go home to start his day. I finally arrive at the studio gate, where I'm given my parking-space assignment, which I then race to (where is spot 168?!). Jumping out of my car, I do that run-walk, clearly favored by only the truly tardy, toward the studio itself. Out of the corner of my eye, I spot a male figure, talking on a cell phone and lounging in the back of a beautiful new pickup truck. He stands and yells, "You!" What initially appears to be an irate (and tremendously cute, mind you) surfer dude turns out to be old Jasper, himself, grinning from ear to ear. "I've been waiting for you," Rademacher mock chastises. "Now, as punishment, we're going to do the interview in the back of my truck." Thankfully, reason (or the So Cal heat) convinces him otherwise, and we do the interview in the comfort of his air-conditioned dressing room, where he is both gracious and generous with his time and his quotes — as always. When all is said and done, he's off with a hug to enjoy his day and I'm thinking, "Okay, I was late, and the worst thing that could have happened to me so far is that I would have had to interview a hot soap star while sitting in a truck bed on a beautiful day." This, my friends, is a job that does not suck. Maybe I should be tardy more often.... (Just kidding, boss!)

Here are your Answers and Winners!!!

Once again, Ingo let the fan club ask him 10 questions about GH, Hawaii, and just general questions. All the questions were posted on the IRME, and the registered users were invited to pick the question they most wanted answered in each group.

Here are the questions and answers, and he even included some pictures in the answers!

1. What kind of music do you have on your iPod?

A wide range from Rock to classical, meditation, new age. Yoga meditation music. I have lots of cold-play.

2. We are all shaped by our experiences (good or bad), what is your proudest moment to date?

I don't have one particular moment. It's life. Take the good with the bad.

3. "Who makes you laugh?" Can be a comedian, a TV show, someone he knows personally... just what tickles his funnybone

South-park for sure. Cartmen

4. What do you think made Jax and Brenda the Hottest Daytime Couple of all time and Why?

Because Vanessa is Hot ;-)

5. What have you liked most about working with each of your leading ladies on GH?

I've had so many you don't honestly expect me to answer that, do you :-) you funny girl

6. Jax is amazing with kids, do you find yourself acting or does the interaction come natural & you can just be yourself?

sometimes it's hard. Babies cry a lot and it's very technical. sometimes we only have a certain amount of time to get the shot and it makes it difficult. Little John has been fantastic to work with, he really looks at you,

7. As your Hawaii house is now complete, would you tell us more about it? I know a lot of work went into it. Please explain any environmental friendly/energy saving aspects of the house. What you are most proud of?

Hi Karen, It's never complete :-) Most proud of doing a complete make over and furnishing it in 3 1/2 weeks. Had help from Toddy, Gunner and Mom and Dad. On my last trip I painted the outside. It's solar hot water but I'm looking to do the same as I've done at my Venice house, Full electric Solar system.

8. What's the most unusual/awsome experience you've had while swimming underwater in Hawaii?

When cave free diving(No Tank) I like to go down to the Divers and say Hi. go through a cave with them at 30-40 and stay down for a while. it's kinda freaks them out. Seeing all the Turtles is always fun. They always want to play.

9. Todd has said such wonderful things about your new home in Hawaii and that you grow such nice fruit there. What kind of fruit do you have on your property

Papaya they're awesome. Banana, Mango. Bread fruit. Avocados. Coconuts. Lemons,Pamellos. there might be more .

10. I know you travel quite a bit which Country is your favorite and why.

I don't think I've found my favorite country yet. I really want to travel Asia, I've never been.

CarJax Postcard campaign

Jax sent Carly a Giraffe Postcard. Not what I expected from my Aussie to his latest galpal, but . Some of us are sending our own Giraffe postcards! But, that's not exactly something that you can get on any corner, unless you have a zoo there. So, we've come up with an alternate idea.
